Meowface Philosophy Explained

"Curiosity leads to contemplation, and contemplation leads to love? Meow?
What does that mean?"

     From my 15 years I spent teaching high school drumlines--two dozen teenagers banging on loud drums, oh my--the number one thing I figured out was, "I've got to meet every person from exactly where they are." This Meowface album is an attempt to meet our current culture as a whole from where it is. In my observation, many of us seem to have distanced ourselves from the awe and humility that inevitably comes from being curious and contemplative about our inherently mysterious existence. Countless people seem to have lost touch with the expansive feelings that come from gazing up at the stars and by getting a window seat on the plane and looking down onto our context. Even though we are completely surrounded by mystery on all sides, it is ironic that we still can find truths, and the number-one truth being, "Love brings us to where we all want to be." With enough open and humble contemplation, each of us will inevitably arrive at the singular and simple truth that love is what this life is all about, yet sadly so many seem thoroughly detached from love, and even worse, looking for it in all the wrong places.

      So how do we repair this disconnect?... by meeting ourselves from exactly where we are + a revisiting to basics!  Just like when we were kids, we were on the right path by being innately curious. Re-energize your curiosity, right meow, starting with this album. Let your curiosity segue into humble contemplation, and, from deep within, wholeheartedly know.....
